r. What about Taxes?

VOZ is a Puerto Rico corporation, and our services are provided from our facilities in San Juan, Puerto Rico. As Puerto Rico is a United States Territory, we are subject to US Federal Laws & regulations from entities including the Federal Communications Commission (FCC). The FCC has ruled that states may not regulate nor impose taxes on VoIP providers. Therefore, VOZ will not charge the Puerto Rico IVU or Municipal Taxes on any of our VOIP service fees, or on any fees specifically exempted from taxation, including: 911 fees, USF & PRUSF, services provided to businesses or to other telecommunications companies, among others.

Hardware and/or software purchased from VOZ will be subject to Puerto Rico IVU and Municipal Tax. If you pickup your hardware or software in our facilities, it will be subject to tax from San Juan. If we ship your hardware, it will be subject to taxation based on your VOZ billing address.

These policies may change as required by law.

Currently VOZ is not required to contribute to the US Universal Service Fund or the Puerto Rico Universal Service Fund. However, such requirements may change in the future without notice.
